Hairy Mail

MR POSTMAN

AND YOU THOUGHT I WAS KIDDIN???

He must also be going through the change of life like Marge Simpson.lol

Wat you see, is wat you get.

You can luv im

You can hate im

Or luv to hate im

As Stevie Wonder says:.

Things Dad Will Never Say

  1. Well, how about that! I'm lost. Looks like we'll have to stop and ask for directions.
  2. You know, pumpkin. Now that you're thirteen, you'll be ready for unchaperoned car dates. Won't that be fun?
  3. I noticed that all your friends have a certain negative attitude. I like that!
  4. You want a car....let me get it for you.!
  5. Here's a credit card and the keys to my new car. Go crazy!
  6. What do you mean you want to play football? Figure skating not good enough for you, son?
  7. Your Mother and I are going away for the weekend. You might want to consider throwing a party.
  8. Well, I don't know what's wrong with your car. Probably one of those doo-hickey thingies.

You know, that makes it run or something. Just have it towed to a mechanic and pay whatever he asks.

  1. No son of mine is going to live under this roof without an earring. Now, quit your belly aching and let's go to the mall.
  2. What do you want to go and get a job for? I make plenty of money for you to spend.
  3. Father's Day? Ah, don't worry about that. It's no big deal!

FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END.

As we walk through the miracle of life

Time seems to sift through our fingers.

We search the horizon as if we see it for the first time

And indeed we do see it for the first time

Every day……….. through different eyes

ROBERT DE NIRO - DEER HUNTER

MAN’S COMPLICATED SPIRIT

THEY SAY WHEN THE BEAR PRESENTS ITSELF TO YOU TO BE KILLED, SO YOU SURVIVE

IT BECOMES YOUR SPIRIT BEAR.

There are many legends about this in Indian folklore.

Why do we need spirit animals?
To some, the spirit appears as this particular animal, because it’s a symbolic representation of the strength of that spirit.

That spirit is attracted to a person because they need those strengths.

For example, a spirit guide who takes the form of a dog might be offering the gifts of obedience and loyalty.

A hawk might be the spirit of freedom and power.

The Deer is fast, a good kicker, and yet soft and fragile.

Spirit guides can also appear in various ways such as dreams, visions, or might come to the person in the form of the animal in real life.

The bear is cunning, powerful and can beat most of your enemies.

But what about man?

What about when man is forced to face himself, like in a game of Russian Roullette?

What does it mean when we present ourselves, to ourselves, in this deadly game?

Do we present ourselves to live or to die?

In the movie 1978 Deer Hunter
We see just this sort of thing happening.

Robert De Niro is great in this movie.

HMMMM.

Cavatina from the Deer Hunter.

COOL HAND LUKE – PAUL NEWMAN

“What we have here is failure to communicate.”

Whether he be eating 50 eggs, playing poker, or just a quiet dare devil,

Paul Newman never failed to entertain in this old movie.

He was beaten, but never defeated.

This seems to be the message being sent to the public.

When you fall down, get up, brush yourself off and keep going.

COOL HAND LUKE lived and died with a smile.

He knew the score.

I loved seeing all the other actors who became famous in their own movies.

Cool Hand Luke...watch the clip

Little Johnny....

Prayer

Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his grandmother's house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served.

When little Johnny received his plate he started eating right away.

"Johnny, wait until we say our prayer."

"I don't have to," the boy replied.

"Of course you do," his mother insisted. "We say a prayer before eating at
our house."

"That's at our house," Johnny explained, "but this is Grandma's house, and she knows how to cook."

ONLY IN CANADA

Swimming with polar bears ?
There's a place in the world where children can swim among polar bears.
Since July 2004, in the little town of Cochrane , northern Ontario ,
you can visit the Polar Bear Habitat.

It's a kind of local zoo where people can live the once-in-a-lifetime
experience of an outdoor swim with polar bears.
Of course, the humans are in a different pool, separated from the bears'
habitat by just a layer of glass.

Can you see the water drops now?

She Walks in Beauty

She walks in beauty like the night
of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
meets in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
had half impair'd the nameless grace
which waves in every raven tress,
or softly lightens o'er her face -
where thoughts serenely sweet express
how pure, how dear their dwelling - place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
so soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
the smiles that win, the tints that glow,
but tells in days of goodness spent,
a mind at peace with all below,
a heart whose love is innocent.

George Gordon Byron

For some love is blind and for others,
love is a blushing pink, or
pure as the stars in the night.
But alas music plays and it gets hot.
Love shows its true passion, its' secrets, its' twists and turns.
As you bare your breasts and your heart, love is finally yours.
It is invincible.
It cannot be denied or forgotten for
it will burn into all who touch it,
leaving its' mark.

Beware of love
Once smitten......it is.....
for ever.

ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR

Toda Ona Vida

To women who dream to men who dream
but mainly
To those who dare to build a world with their eyes wide open.
Two beggars are sitting side by side on a street in Rome. One has a cross in front of him; the other one the Star of David. Many people go by and look at both beggars, but only put money into the hat of the beggar sitting behind the cross. A priest comes by, stops and watches throngs of people giving money to the beggar behind the cross, but none give to the beggar behind the Star of David. Finally, the priest goes over to the beggar behind the Star of David and says,"My poor fellow, don't you understand? This is a Catholic country, this city is the seat of Catholicism. People aren't going to give you money if you sit there with a Star of David in front of you, especially when you're sitting beside a beggar who has a cross. In fact, they would probably give to him just out of spite."
The beggar behind the Star of David listened to the priest, turned to the other beggar with the cross and said: "Moishe, look who's trying to teach the Goldstein brothers about marketing."

Life’s like that.

"SEA FEVER"...A Story of Perseverance.

"SEA FEVER" I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by, And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sails shaking, And a grey mist on the sea’s face and a grey dawn breaking.
I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tideIs a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied; And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying, And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gipsy life,To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife; And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.- John MasefieldThe poem
Sea Fever was written by John Masefield many years ago. The Old Man and The Sea.
